About the Program
The Business Management program is designed to provide students with a well-rounded education in business operations, management techniques, human relations, basic marketing principles, accounting, business law, economics and business computer applications. Students in this field should possess an interest in working with others, developing business strategies, and responding to today's competitive business environment.
This program is designed to teach students to solve problems, develop management strategies, make oral presentations, and write reports such as business plans and case analyses. Management skills are useful in many job settings: retail, wholesale, manufacturing, social services, government, and education. These skills are also important for people who wish to improve their performance in existing jobs or develop their own businesses.

This course is survey of business providing a multidisciplinary examination of how culture, society, economic systems, legal, international, political, financial institutions, and human behavior interact to affect a business organization's policy and practices within the U.S. and a global society. This course introduces students to the function of advertising in relation to business and society. It looks at advertising as a social and economic institution. Emphasis is placed on identifying the best strategy and advertising medium to achieve the business objective. Students will plan an advertising campaign including defining a target audience, research markets, select the most effective advertising mediums, select media outlets, estimate the campaign budget and draft advertising copy. The advertising campaign project builds an understanding of traditional and digital advertising, writing radio or podcast copy, and storyboarding for television or digital advertising.
