Prerequisite(s): NSG 100, NSG 101 or a Current CNA License This course provides the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) the knowledge and skills needed to function in an acute care setting. Topics include Scope of Practice guidelines, effective communication, and proper procedures for care of patients with a variety of conditions in the acute care setting. Students will learn about common acute and chronic conditions that require hospitalization and surgical procedures that patients undergo in the acute care setting. Graded only. |
